Transportation
1. Transportation: getting there and back
Transportation expenses (going to Tuscany and back + transportation during the stage) are not included in the fee for the stages. What the organisation will do though is to coordinate the transportation. Most participants get in Tuscany by car or by air plane (Pisa airport is 1h30 away from the location of the stage).
We will bring people who can take passengers in their car in contact with people who'd like to have a seat in someone else's car (sharing costs of course). This car pooling can be organised for the trip to Tuscany and back and/or for the transportation during the stage.
2. Where do the stages take place?
In the villages of Boccheggiano and Prata and in 'Il Gabellino' ('place' in between the 2 villages). These places are in Tuscany, province of Grosseto, 50km south-west from Siena, 11km from Massa Marittima. Prata and Boccheggiano are on hills next to the main road from Siena to Massa Marittima, Il Gabellino is 'on' that same main road.

Housing
The housing of the participants is spread. Many will stay in the neighbourhood of 'Il Gabellino', others will be in apartments some km away or in Prata.
Classes
The classes will take place in Prata, in il Gabellino and in Boccheggiano.
3. Meals
In the program (and in the fee) are included three dinners (two for the short stage) and two picknicks but for the rest the participants will have to be autonomous for the meals. This shouldn't be a problem as many of the housing formula have a kitchen included.
Apart from this there will be special prices for our students at 'Osteria Il Gabellino' (lunch or dinner at 10 euro including two courses, wine and water; breakfasts at 4 euro) and at 'Il Frutteto' (15 euro, excellent kitchen; better to book beforehand!).
There are enough shops and supermarkets around or in the neighbourhood too (in Prata, Boccheggiano, Il Gabellino or Massa Marittima). And of course there are pizzerie in the neighbourhood, restaurants, osterie, bars, trattorie.
4. Transportation during the stage
As we will regularly need to take the cars to go to the classes, parties or trips, it'll be certainly easier to share a car with participants staying in the same complex as yours or at least close by. The organisation will also help you in this. It shouldn't be too much of a problem as the housing of most of the participants is at walking distance from one another. |
